IMPORTANT: We're leaving Team App in November 2022

We’re moving to a new app! In November, Madison Music and Madison Drama will be switching from Team App to the BAND app.

Wait a minute, isn’t an app called BAND designed just for … well, bands? Nope! This app refers to a “band” as any group of people. So while it sounds odd at first, it makes sense that the Choir and Drama programs will be using the BAND app too!

Why the change? While it’s similar in many ways to Team App, the BAND app has lots of advantages:
– You won’t have to wait to be admitted to the app by an admin; as soon as you join, you’re in!
– Everyone can see all the chat rooms, so you won’t have to ask someone to put you in the right chats. (But you have full control over which chats send notifications to your phone.)
– There are lots of features that will make it easier to find what you need, including hashtags, file folders and threaded chats. You may not know what those mean yet, but you’ll love it when you see them in action!
– There are lots of clear and easy help files, and we’ll post some of them right in the app so you can gradually learn the new features.
– Parents & guardians can set up supervision of their students’ BAND accounts.
– Plus a lot of behind-the-scenes improvements that will make it easier for admins to run the app.

There are two dates for the official switchover, when we will stop posting on Team App:

Madison Music will move to the BAND app on Nov. 8, after the end of Marching Band season. All information about Concert, Pep, Steel and Jazz bands, as well as all Choirs, will be posted in the new app after that date.

Madison Drama will move to the BAND app on Nov. 21, after the last performance of Matilda Jr. All information about Twelfth Night, Mary Poppins, crew and Thespians will be posted in the new app after that date.

Getting the BAND app
1. Download the free BAND app (by Naver Corp.) from the iPhone or Android app store. You can log in with your Google or Facebook account – no new password to remember!
2. Join the Madison Music or Madison Drama groups by scanning the QR codes posted in the Band Room, Choir Room, Theater or Mrs. Crim’s room. Or you can email Mr. Brown (joel.brown@madisonmohawks.org) to request a link that will get you into the group.
3. Once you are in the BAND group, please read the Important Notices about profile requirements and parent supervision. If you do not have the required information in your profile, you may be removed from the BAND group.

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT post the link or QR code on social media or any other public online space. Restricting access to the link is how we make sure only Madison families are in our groups!
