The candle light ceremony will be handled off school grounds this year following the July 12th Booster Meeting.

We will still be taking social distancing and use of masks seriously during the ceremony this year. I (mr. T) will try my best to make the experience memorable, and worth doing with these precautions in place.

WHAT IS THE CANDLELIGHT CEREMONY?
The candlelight ceremony is a tradition that, in the past, has been held at the end of band camp. All members will receive candles with the seniors having theirs lit first. Seniors take turn giving a short so each about their experience with band and what it means to them. After their speeches the seniors will then “pass the flame” to the younger members of the band while also showing their appreciation for that member. The member whose candle has been lit than continues passing the flame from member to member. As mentioned above, the formula will be slightly altered to account for Covid but we will be going for the same experience.

Parents are not expected to attend. Students will be available for pickup at about 10pm
